I read the novel ALCHEMIST.The alchemist tells a story of young stepherd boy who goes on a journey and guest for treasure to realize his ‘personal legend’.Along the way,he run into many obstacles and the journey quickly turns into an adventure.
The constant theme in the Alchemist is to pursue your dreams by following what your heart desires.
During young boy’s journey, he learns to listen to the heart and to follow the language of omens.
He learns to use his heart to overcome fear.He learn to use his soul to never lose hope when faced with adversity he learn to focus on his own journey,disregarding the influences of society.
As the result,the idea that all individuals should live in the singular pursuit of their individual dreams emerges as the primary theme of the Alchemist.The Alchemist offers a simple massage to readers that is also one of the most profound consideration of life.
Through Santiago’s journey to treasure and love, travel, Coelho encourages readers to not only discover their own dreams for their lives but also to never gives us pursuing them.
Reading “The Alchemist” feels less like reading a book and more like sitting around a fire in the desert listening to an ancient story being passed down true oral tradition.
